Just a warning—this won’t be your typical article on how to make money online! There are literally thousands of such articles and you’ve probably read a good share of these.

You won’t find any gimmicks, sales ads, or requests to sign up for a webinar or course. Instead, what you will find are some real ways to earn money online.

Tips to Earn Money Online

When it comes to making money online, we’ve put together some tips to get you started and help you earn more:

Treat this like a job: in order to earn more online, you’ll need to treat this as a real job, an opportunity to earn some extra cash for you and your family. So, treat this work as you would any other job. You can work in comfortable clothes (even PJs), that’s OK. Just be sure to show up every day and treat this as real work. It is work, but it’s worth the effort to put some extra money in your wallet.

Speaking of online jobs, if you do apply for work at home jobs, then here are some additional tips you’ll need to read:

Be professional: while you’re working from home, remember to act in a professional manner at all times. A professional attitude will get you a long way when it comes to applying for work, and when you land that online job.

Resume creation: be sure to create a professional resume, which includes true facts about your work history. And before submitting it, be sure to proofread it carefully. Search for even the smallest grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors, then fix them. To help you get this done, you can use the spell checker on your device to give the resume a good check.

Don’t work for free: remember, the goal is to earn real money online. To do this, you’ll need to avoid doing any work for free. Some jobs ask for samples of your past work. This is OK. Be sure to have some samples ready to send or share a link to the samples online. If you’re asked for a writing sample, it should be short—usually about 250 to 300 words. Anyone requests a longer sample, then pass them by. They’re only looking for free work at your expense.

Websites That Pay Real Money

Here we go—have fun checking out these ways to earn money online!

1). Fab Freebies: we provide some great ways to earn money right here on our site! Just check out our “Find New Ways to Earn Money” page. Here, you’ll find different ways to earn including taking surveys, shopping online with retailers you know and more. This is a great way to earn money when you have a few minutes available. Just visit that page and review the offers there.

2). User Testing: here, you’ll need to visit websites that are assigned to you, or they may ask you to try out an app. For each site or app, they’ll supply you with a list of tasks to do. And they’ll ask you to share your thoughts out loud (you’ll need to record your thoughts). While recording your thoughts, you just share your impressions of the site/app, how easy it is to use (or not), and more. The recording is then used by the site’s owner (or the app owner) to make changes that improve the user experience. After successfully completing the tasks and sharing your thoughts they’ll pay out! Each app or website usually takes about 15-20 minutes to complete the task list.

3). Fiverr: this site’s been in the news quite a bit and you may have even seen ads for the site. What’s it all about? Fiverr is a site that allows you to sign up and then sell services. Each service is called a “gig,” and can be based on almost any skills. Many web designers sell their services on the site, as well as graphic artists and other creatives. However, you can sell a lot more on the site.

For example, you can create writing gigs, offer genealogy searches, create voice over recordings, and so much more. When you’re new on Fiverr, you’ll be able to sell gigs starting at $5 (£3.92). As you gain more experience and earn 4-5-star ratings from buyers, you’ll be able to go up the different seller levels. Each level has specific perks. While starting out can be a challenge, treating this as a job and getting the word out about your gigs, you can earn as much as you’d like!

Online Freelance Writing Opportunities

This is a highly effective way to earn money from home, and it can bring in quite a bit of income. While it’s not easy work, if you enjoy writing, it can be a lucrative method to earn money online.

Starting out is difficult, but you can start with your own free blog or website. This way, you can create a portfolio of your writing, which can be reviewed by potential clients. Next, creating a professional LinkedIN profile is a fantastic way to connect your social media accounts to your website. This is a great way to drive traffic to your site and get your name out there. You can also use LinkedIN to network and connect with employers, other writers and more.

Here is a list of websites that pay you to write:

4). Funds for Writers: here, you’ll find a site that pays writers for posts. They pay about $50 (£39.17) for each post they accept. They accept articles on earning a living as a writer. Each article must be between 550 and 650 words long. And they ask you to keep the writing tight and to the point and make each word count. One more thing, they ask you to avoid writing in passive voice. If accepted, your article will appear in their newsletter, which is sent out to subscribers. At the time this article was written, they said the newsletter slots for articles had been filled until July 2020; however, they are still accepting submissions.

5). Listverse: if you enjoy writing interesting lists, then this may be a good choice for you! They’ll pay up to $100 (£78.33) for each post they accept. The lists must include 10 items, and the word count must be about 1,500 words or more. This could be a fun way to earn some extra cash!
